Looking for Something to Read?
Don't worry, the adventures of FOO FOO will continue. But recently, I've been getting a ton of requests for book recommendations. I guess I write to slowly, and readers buzz through my five books like a brush fire. What's the matter with you people? Don't you know it took years to write those? What? You don't care? You need more books? Well, I guess I can help. See, part of the coolness of being an author is meeting other authors and finding out all the cool books out there. So, for those dying for something new to read, check my sidebar. I've listed a ton of Amazon links to books I personally recommend.
What about you? You know the kind of stuff my readers like. What other books do you recommend? I'll try to put Amazon links for them as well.
Never alone!

That's one smart baby. Reading upside down is a lot harder than it sounds.
I would recomend the "Echoes from the Edge" seris by Brian Davis
Never Alone.
I'm re-reading The Door Within.
I also read Isle of Swords, and am going to read Isle of Fire!
I got an offer for my allegorical fantasy book Journey to the Lands Beyond, and you inspired me to write it!! Thank you SO much!!
A fifteen year old archer (I actually am) and Shieldmaiden,
Mirriam/Ëarwen in elvish.
p.s. I can write and read Tolkein's elvish, too! =D
HAHA, Parker! That's hilarious!!
I love that some of you put up some of your own recommendations! Please continue to do that! If the book is on Amazon, I'll put the link up as well.
Here are some recomendations:
all of Ann Rinaldi's books; she rocks at historical fiction,
Shannon Hale's Books of Bayern,
and
The Land of Elyon and Atherton by Patrick Carman
all of J.R.R Tolkien's books are awesome: The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Roverandom, Farmer Giles of Ham
and also everything by C.S. Lewis
I am reading Isle of Fire and am loving it.
I recommend the Kingdom's Series. Since I read The Door Within, I really wanted something else just like it. Well, Kingdom Series
helped to quench my thirst.
I agree about the kingdom series. It's an amazing series!
Mostly everything by everyone who was on the Motiv8 tour... Also, the Ranger's Apprentice series is really good! I also like the Dragon King trilogy and the King Raven Trilogy, both by Stephen Lawhead.
Oh, when will you post the results of who won the header contest?
The Wilderking Trilogy by Jonathan Rogers.
The Circle Trilogy, Blink, & Skin, by Ted Dekker
Tahn, Return to Alastair, The Scarlet Trefoil by L.A. Kelly.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Twilight.
:P
Oh and Mr. Batson?
I appreciate the years it took to write them,
I just like reading really fast :P
I recommend L.B Graham's Series, The Binding of the Blade. They are so awesome. Of Course Lord of the Rings and The Door Within Trilogy, and Eragon is good, a few stranger parts in Eldest. Lemony Snicket's 13 books are great, a little sad but so humorous!! The Hobbit is cool, so is Inkheart! Oliver Twist is good so far ( I am reading it). OH!! and Mr. Batson Isle of Swords is really good. It has many twists and a lot of action. At first I thought DOLphin was a nickname for Anne! Then I finished it! That is about all I can think of!
You are a great author! and Blogger:)
I still haven't been able to read your Isle of Swords and Isle of Fire books yet, but I absolutely love TDW trilogy. (Nock is my favorite character!)
I recommend The Mark of the Lion trilogy by Francine Rivers, Redeeming Love, the Lineage of Grace series, The Last Sin Eater, and Leota's Garden. All of those are by Rivers. They are really encouraging Christian books, but not children's in the least.
Also, Hadassah and the Hadassah Covenant are 2 excellent reads by Tommy Tenney and Mark Andrew Olson.
Oh, and any of Beverly Lewis's books. They are fabulous.
Yeah, I read a lot... ;)
That's a super cut picture. I LOVE your books and have been recommending to everyone I know (:
Other books I recommend are The Birthright Project by Kathryn Mackel, The DeGranville Trilogy by K.M.Grant and The White Lion Chronicles by Christopher Hopper.
Bye For Now,
~Ryan
Agrees with Ellie.
Francine Rivers' books :)
And Deeanne Gist's books!
The links aren't there.
I'll get the links up as I can.
Hey! I love your "Door Within" books! They are amazing! I ordered online "The Final Storm" finally! I got the first two books last summer and read them both in that summer break! I have been waiting for this day to get the third! I must know what happens! You are an awesome writer! I thank the Lord our God for your writing talent!
Oooh, anything by Gail Carson Levine...I don't know if that's too young, but they're really funny. :)
No offense, but Twilight is overrated.
But the Circle Trilogy is amazing!
I know Twilight's overrated, that's why I'm surprised no one's mentioned it.
I would recomend Robert E. Howard's Conan stories, and Christopher Paolini's inheritance cycle (Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr.)
i loved the door within trilogy, and the isle of swords series i loved them both, right after i finished reading the final storm i wanted to read it over again, right then, and so i will!
