We've earned it.
Christopher Hopper and I have been furiously working on Berinfell Book 3: The Tide of Unmaking, but unable to work furiously enough. We wanted the release date to be end of May. Then we wanted end of June. Trust me on this: we are dying to get the book into your hands.
But part of being an author is knowing when a book is ready for readers. Part of being a Christian author is knowing when the book is of a high enough quality to honor the Lord. Tide of Unmaking just isn't there yet. It's good. It's very good. But it's not ready for you yet. It can be better. It can be much better. Shoot, it can make the word Epic run home crying to its momma. But CH and I must have more time to invest in it.
It's my sincere hope to have The Tide of Unmaking in your hands before the end of the summer. CH and I will try. But more than anything else, we're going to pour ourselves into making the book the best it can be. You've honored us by reading our stories and by being patient. Let us honor you by taking the time to craft something spectacular.

I love these books, and I will admit I'm dying to read Tide of Unmaking, although I'd rather the book take a little longer and be the best it can be! ;) Thanks and keep of the amazing work!!
It's better to wait and have a GREAT EPIC book than to be impatient and have a book. Thank you for writing so many wonderful books. I love books that never get old. And yours are definatly some of those!

I'm glad you're making it even better. This is going to be so awesome! I will wait, at least as patiently as I can manage in light of this epic book. I'll be praying for you.
We support you completely and will always appreciate the effort and care you both put in on His behalf for us and to honor the gift He has given you. As they sort of say in the south "let the Spirit Move you" so if He ain't moving, get yourself out of the way and wait with active anticipation :-) and if it's us that need to wait with active anticipation while He moves the book...we can wait. It's totally worth it (no pressure ;-).
Keep it, then. Keep it and work on it and DO NOT PUBLISH IT until you think it's done and ready for us. PLEASE!!! We'd all LOVE to have it now, but we'd all love to have a really good book, too.
Don't worry. We can wait.

I'm so excited! I just bought "Venom and Song" two days ago, and am just about finished. This is my favorite series ever, and I'm surprised it's not very much talked about. It's kinda sad. I can wait a couple more weeks for the new book to come out, and just re read the first book (well, I actually got the second book in the middle of re reading the first for my, uh, hundred-thousandth time, but I just luv it so much!) I'm torn between luving this series the most, the Aplhas series, and the Divergent series. UGH! So hard!
The first time I read the berinfell books I thought "ok not bad good job ch and wtb" but after I read them the second time I thought "OH YEAH!!! They made awesome run home to its momma" but now... The third one... Is going to make EPIC run home to its mamma CRYING!!! Way to go guys!!! Can't wait!!!
