Early Door Within Scrawls

The top page shows my initial visualizing of the moonrascal critters. I like to doodle. Can you tell? I also wrote a bunch of notes from Stephen King's On Writing. Great book about the craft. I don't agree with everything King preaches, for sure, but he knows the craft.

The bottom page shows some VERY early musings about the first few chapters of The Door Within. One of the similes I'm most proud of is there. His father's hand, the hand that had been a comfort, Aidan shrugged it off like it was a wasp. Also, notice that in this early stage, Aidan was…well, Wayne. What a rookie I was. lol

Hi,
I'm doing the CSFF blog tour. I bought the book "The Door Within" because it was the next book on the blog tour. I didn't think I would like it that much.
Was I wrong!
Somewhere about page 23 I fell in love with the story. I love the name 'Glimpses', it's kind of poetic. As soon as I can afford it I'm getting the other books in the series.

Nissa, so kind of you to drop by! And thanks for getting The Door Within. Let me know if you have any questions about the books…or anything you find here on the blog.

PS: Nissa is a really cool name. I'm always on the lookout for names that would go well in a fantasy story. Hmmm...;-)

That's really cool! Most authors don't give you lots of behind the scenes information. I'm really glad I found out about this site. I had actually been searching for a Door Within fan site or forum or anything that had to do with The Door Within, and I finally came here when I saw the link on a book review! Since then I've been coming back almost every day to see if there's anything new:-) Thanks for posting all the cool stuff!

Hi, Anon

Thanks for taking a risk on The Door Within books. I am thrilled that you like them so much.

I do have lots more fantasy planned, God willing.

First up is a pirate adventure called Isle of Swords (and a sequel to that), and then, I have a 5-7 book Fantasy Series that I am SO stoked to get to work on. It's tentatively called "Across the Dark Sea."

Visit this blog often for lots more updates.

Never alone.
