New Fan Art!

Never let it be said that fan art must take the form of a drawing! This righteously-cool box was crafted by Juliette of Rochester, NY. Juliette is an avid Door Within fan and very much like a real-life Antoinette Lynn Reed. Trust me, you don't want to lock swords with Juliette!

On the Door Within Movie News Front: The gentleman in California is NOW reading The Door Within series and Isle of Swords. His opinion could go a very LONG way towards getting the movie rights purchased. Please pray that, if God wills it, The Door Within might become a movie.

Until next time, Never alone!

Really sweet stuff. And on the topic of praying if you guys could be praying for my sister that would be great. She fell and hurt her knee over the holidays and we found out she has tumors in her fibula bone. We're not sure if they're active tumors or whatever, but the doctors were concenerned about them.

She's really nervous mainly because our grandpa died of lung cancer a few years back. So please pray for peace for her and for the knowledge of the doctors.

Thanks! Sarm

if it is gonna become a movie(which I'm praying for)
will you let us know where and when they're gonna be casting extras???? please?

when you know, of course; but I think it's safe to assume all your fans wanna be extras.

Ok, I love it! Hands down, no questions asked.

So is the California dude a slow reader? I hope not, but it seems like forever. [sigh of agony] I will pray though.

P.S. Um, when they're doing the casting, could you drop me a line?

You got it Sarm!

That's a nasty surprise for sure. Keep me posted? You can just leave bits as you feel you want to over on my blog if you like.

As for movies and such, have been and am praying m'lord. First that the Lord's will and timing be done, second that they let you have some say in the creation of the screenplay which would be adapted from your work, and third that the right company buy it so we actually get to SEE it in our lifetime.

Oh, here's a question, does this at all in any way shape or form factor into the ongoing writer's strike in Hollywood? Just was wondering.

Cool fan art! Be praying for your sister Sarm. And for the movie which would be the most awesome film EVER!!!! As long as Nock and Bolt are cast well. LOL!

This is an example of a Wayne Thomas Batson post. The fan gets the spotlight first. He spends most of his time writing about the incredible box (which is definitely awesome, as the pictures show), and only at the very end does he go and say, "Oh, by the way, if the guy who's reading this likes it, we've got a good chance of a movie".

I'm not sure whether The Door Within or Isle of Swords would make the better movie. Obviously, both pirates and fantasy are doing well at the box office (and both by Disney). The Door Within has the feel of an epic, perhaps with a winter release, but Isle of Swords' great upbeat pace would make a summer blockbuster.

I don't think Isle of Swords will be made into a movie soon becasue most people would probably think it's just a spin-off of Pirates of the Carribean even though it's 200 times better.

I agree. I think that a new fantasy would be picked up faster than another pirates movie. Still love the Ilse of Swords though Wayne!

Well, whatever they decide to film, I'll watch it as many times as I can in theatres, then buy the DVD! I watched the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe no less than 12 times in theatres. Door Within is so going to be made into a movie, I can just tell.
