The problem is no longer will I meet my word count by the deadline. 85,000 words, by the grace of God, will be no problem. But...
Now, can I actually finish the book within 85,000 words? Gulp. You ever been reading a book and it's toward the end, and you notice, hey, there's not more than an inch of pages left. How can this possibly end in that little bit of pages?
That's where I am right now. Hmmm...
Still, I'm in no danger of going like 20,000 words over like some other times. {ahem}
But my goal isn't just to finish. It's to finish strong.

Haha...I smell a "Isle of Fire - Lost Chapters" coming up :P
At least you don't have to worry about adding filler, eh?
Ooho, now that is indeed an answer to prayer. Not that you have to trim, but rather that the ideas come thick and fast and the words with weight as well as ease from your pen. ;) As my writing professors always said, better to trim than to be woefully lacking.
Murder your darlings, Wayne.
Wayne,
I think we are on the same page. :) I have at least one more major scene and my word count is quickly rising...can we do it? The challenge is on.
Problem after problem, eh? I know you can do it, Sir Wayne! I will be praying for you that everything will turn out OK. Good luck!
