The Rumblings of Small Stones...

Hey, just a head's up to those who visit here. I've recently been invited to write over at a great fantasy/scifi site called Speculative Faith. I'll be posting every other Thursday.

My post this week is something that's been simmering on my mind for a long time. Check it out if you get a chance. I'm wondering if you are willing to be like small stones...

The persons' blogs are listed under their names, so that's why mine is blank. I currently don't have a blog up and running. But, I can provide this link to my name on Amazon.com, so that might tell you a little something about me:

Loved the post, m'lord. You know, small stones can do alot of damage if they are in the right hands, like take down giants for instance. ;)

And I am right there with you, just give me one soul, one person closer to Christ because of my words and I will be happy.

Amen Wayne!

I've been blessed with a heart for this same revolution. A subtle, yet dramatic shift in the way society views faith is in order. Most of the world has lost hope in their future. Wouldn't it be spectacular if an unassuming speculative fiction book or Christian song played on pop radio station were to infiltrate the hardened exoskeleton of our society.

I, myself use The Door Within to this very purpose. I have a very dear friend of mine that is completely closed off to Christianity because of his strict "religious" past, yet he is a huge fantasy fan. "Enter the The Door Within" - literally. I introduced him to the first book one night by choosing one of my particularly favorite passages and shoving it under his nose saying, "You will love this series, read this..." He did and now I plan to buy him the series so that he may have it to dwell on and mull over and ultimately enjoy while his guard is down.

This type of ministry has been calling my name for so many years without me even realizing that I was supposed to be a part of it artistically. I love to write, but never imagined that I could impact people in a "seed planting" ministry until reading The Door Within and talking to you via email, and now blog-talk. I now know that God didn't bless me with the desire to write by happenstance - He never does anything by happenstance - it just took me a while to riddle it all out. Coupled with my love of subtle ministry, my passion for writing may yet have a role to play in the "revolution."

Every time I hear a song I know to be Christian from hearing it on a Christian radio station played in a store or on a pop radio station - I feel a small victory for Christ. Every time I hear about a book with a message reaching those who need to hear it - "victory!" Every time a faith-based movie blows the roof off the box office - "Victory!"

The revolution is here, and I feel blessed to play whatever part in it that God sees fit.

Amy, Brett, GOIC, Scribe: you are already part of the revolution, just like me, small stones beginning to rumble.
