CSFF Blog Tour Day 3: Where the Map Ends

And now for something completely different…

These words, uttered by the infamous Monty Python troupe also very much remind me of Jeff Gerke's Where the Map Ends.

If you haven't already, check out the Fantastic Visions section. I love Fantasy art. As you can see above, I dabble in a little 3D art myself. Actually helps me create settings for my books. But the artists on Jeff's site make me look like a toddler with a gray crayon.

And Future Published Authors: don't forget this section because you're going to need someone to illustrate your cover!

There's a lot of talent amongst those images. It's like we can shop for cover artists. :) Well - if we ever have the need of one.

very nice. Cover art is very important. They say don't judge a book by its cover, but i very often do. lol ^_^

Ooh, lovely! And the cover for Peter and the Starcatchers, too!

Thanks for the reminder about cover art, Wayne. Though I had been under the impression that the authors had very little say over their cover art...

A lot of publishers really don't give their writers much say in the cover art, but several do. Among Christian Publisher I've seen, the authors have had lots of input about covers. Tommy Nelson has been phenomenal about letting me give ideas. I even get to come up with initial concepts.

Thanks for directing me to Where the Map Ends. I am starting to read a book that was under the book list. I have been searching for Christian fantasy for some time now. I also wanted to let you know how awesome and anointed the Door Within trilogy is! I started the first book and within 24 hours had two sisters and a cousin hooked as well! I read the whole trilogy in less than a week!! I laughed, cried, you name the emotion, I experienced it within the pages! They are the best books I have ever read...and I am not exaggerating in the slightest!! I can hardly wait for your next project!!

Krystal so kind of you. It means a lot to hear such genuine thoughts about my books. God gets the glory, but it's always nice to hear.

And Jeff, my pleasure to promote your site. You are very generous to share your wisdom and tricks of the trade. I know a lot of people will be blessed and informed by what you are doing.

And ChrisD, your on my regular blog circuit now! lol
