Thank you for you input on writing. I always have ideas for books/stories, but I've never been courageous enough to try and write them down. Unfortunately, I'm the type of person that is so worried that it will not be good, half the time I won't even try. When I do try something, and someone says its good, for some reason I'm reluctant to believe them Is that normal? If I can't feel good about my work should I even try? Thanks!
Fransica, Yes! You need to keep going. If you always worry about whether it sounds perfect or not, you'll never finish. Even if your first idea sounds stupid, you can always redo it later, it doesn't have to be perfect on your first go at it. And yeah, I think everyone has a reluctance to believe that their writing is actually good. But in any case, just keep going, this story wants out, and you're the only one who can get it out. -Mikayla
I read your article. Very good advice! As a writer myself, my new year resolution is to finish and publish a book, but it never occurred to me to write something brand new. :) I'm looking forward to reading your new book! :)
As a teenager I read your Door Within Trilogy and loved it!"Never Alone" was such a powerful, Christian message that it has inspired me since then in my own life and writing. Keep up the good work. ;)
YES, I so agree with Elizabeth Reagan -- tell us what's going in with Dark Sea Annals! Book 2's ending was so suspenseful, and I thought there was going to be 7 books in the series... Is number 3 coming any time soon?
You all rock! Thanks for reading and posting. Dark Sea 3 will be called "Mirror of Souls" and should be out this fall. I've been working on it off and on for 1.5 years now. It's a pivotal story for the series. So much has happened in Myriad, so much has changed. We're looking at a Fall 2014 release for Mirror of Souls.

That is a good idea. I've been reading lots of posts writers are doing on what they plan to finish this year, but not any on trying something new.
