aw man i wish i lived in the area i would soooo be there!
I hope I can come, but it's kind of late notice, so I'm not sure. We'll see.
Mr. Batson, I want you to know that I just received Isle of Fire for my birthday, and I'm LOVING it! It was the last present I opened, and the best; unlike with my other presents, all my siblings were equally excited, demanding that I let them read it when I was finished. (My second-favorite present was Restorer; however, my siblings hadn't heard of that one yet so didn't do all the screaming and dancing. I spent forever trying to decide which book to read first and finally decided on Isle of Fire.)
Anyway, I've devoured half of it over the last three days. It is soooo cool!! I love the introduction to these new enemies. I also became very excited when you brought Vikings into the story; I've been a Viking-research-maniac for the last two years, and I'm writing a novel about them. I have a question though: where'd you find the Norse language? I find bits and pieces of it here and there, but not enough to construct my own sentence or two.
The plot is so intriguing! Your books are an inspiration for me as a writer. Keep writing, and please never stop! :D
Oh, by the way, Mr. Batson: I found a rather funny typo in Rise of the Wrym Lord. (Or maybe it was my friend who found it...) You may have already noticed this, but on page 178 in the paper-back version, you have Aidan crying "It bleeds!", even though Aidan wasn't even in the Realm at that time. Of course we all know it was supposed to say that his twin, Aelic, shrieked the message. Lol.
Fellow writer! WtB here. It says anonymous b/c my work computer doesn't accept cookies. Sheesh, who doesn't like cookies? lol
The Norse language, I'm afraid I had some insider help. One of my best friends is Swedish, and he gave me the information.
And the Wyrm Lord typo; yep, I'm now painfully aware of that. OOPS!! You'd be amazed how many people pointed that out to me. I have very careful readers. I LOVE that!

Oh, okay. So you just happened to be lucky. :) Unfortunate for me, I don't have Swedish acquaintances.
Just a brief note. It's 1:09 a.m. and I'm absolutely exhausted and exhilarated by the events at McLean Bible Church tonight. An incredible turn out. Met some beautiful, amazing people, signed a ton of books too. The staff at McLean is just beyond words kind. They even helped me pack up my piratey props! Thank you, Jesus for another great night. I'm amazed that you let me do this.
Cool stuff! I used to live about an hour from that church.
