I've just heard from my contact at Corner of the Sky Entertainment. It looks like The Door Within Trilogy is not their idea of movie material. There's a chance they will provide me with some contacts at other production companies who might be interested. I'll keep you posted.
Funny…I don't feel disappointed. God said No, for now. That's all I need to know. His plans are the best plans. His timing is the best timing. And besides...
I hear Peter Jackson is busy now anyway. ;-)

Awww, I am sorry that they took a pass. However the last thing I would want is for The Door Within to go though what the Lord of the Rings did with the animated version. Tolkien was decidedly not pleased with that.
Only the best for The Door Within, only His best.
Aw man.
Don't worry! One of these days that dream of ours is going to become reality! God put it there; He certainly didn't place it in all of our hearts just to have it stripped away. Keep trusting in Him! :)
Sorry your The Door Within will not be a movie. However, I know your books are definitely good enough to be a movie, so do not worry about that.
Remember, a new day promises His blessings;)
Ouch. That must feel like a punch in the gut, Wayne. Waiting and waiting and then....you get the dreaded, "NO!"
But as you said, they'll come a time. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to wait. I pray for patience quite a few times!

I'm so disappointed! But what you said Mr. Batson is absolutely right. It's God's timing, not ours. I actually wrote a letter to the company practically begging them to do it. My sad little voice obviously went unheard.
Well, if that's what God wants, that's the way it should be. Too bad, but who knows, it may be that Corner of the Skies just wasn't the right company. Where He leads, we will follow. And though it might not be what we want at the time, it's for the greater good of all. Keep up hope!
Hey Wayne!
I'm glad you're not disappointed. God's timing is perfect and His plan is way better than our own.
:)
Never Alone!
I was disappointed when I read that, but I'm glad that you're not. You're right; it will happen when God wants it to. And they will be Awesome when made into movies!! It will be all the better when it's in God's will!
That's really exciting about your next fantasy books! What will they be about? Can't wait for them!

That's stinks, but I'm sure God has a plan for these books still yet to come. I'll keep praying for you.
That's fine! Like everyone else said maybe they were not the right company. Anyways, sometimes the film versions could turn out bad. Look at The Wrinkle in Time, excellent book, yet the movie was a stinker and even Madeleine L'engle herself expressed disappointment over the movie. Hopefully someday, Door Within will get film rights and turn out excellent. Peter Jackson might be a stretch, but who knows, he bought the rights for a rather unknown book series called Temeraire (excellent series) by Namie Novick.
That is disappointing news, but like so many of you guys keep reminding me, God's will will be done. I have a feeling that He has a plan for these books and that someday they will be made into a movie. The problem is the waiting.
God probably has a very good movie producer set in mind for you Mr. Batson.
Awww, too bad. A Door Within movie series would be amazing. But yes, it is all in God's hands.
