Sweet stuff, sadly I live completely opposite of that. By the way, I just wanted to clarify, you said multiple copies count? I wouldn't want to buy two for myself, but if I bought two, one for myself, and one for a friend, does that mean we get 6000 points for me? And would we get two signed stickers? One last question: Is there any rewards for giving it to my friend, since that, in a way would be promoting your book. Thanks, sorry for all the questions *laughs*

Unknown said...

One more thing, lol, I've got a few ideas of ways to promote you and CH's books. I sent a email to you but you didn't answer, I suppose it was because the subject was simply "Idea" *laughs*, anyway, you said to send it to you or Ch, but what do you want me to send the subject as? Something so that you will know it's about that thing.

Sweet, I'm glad you guys are pushing this book promo stuff so hard! Sadly though:...Like Seth I am far away, though I'm in oregon not florida:P.

Unknown said...

Yes, though I have a friend in Washington DC now, perhaps he may want to go. Perhaps.

Hey!! I'm like 45 minutes from Ellicott City! My aunt lives there...I am so going...I am also so telling her. Her family were the people who practically told us about IoS and got us a signed copy of IoF! Heh. Now I'm excited. And hey Seth, if I go, mega glory points for the tribe if I join!!

I'll be there on the 16th! And hopefully the crew as well :) Bring technology???

Can't wait to pre-order spider king on the 7th! I wish it would get here before the 16th, otherwise it would be the first book I have by you that ISN'T signed (and we can't have that)

Hello.. i'd like to introduce myself. I am the above-mentioned follower and madeline's brother. I am totally getting a copy on the 16th and gong to join the homeshiller's tribe AND LOVE WTB'S BOOKS. AND PAINTBALL

Storm Marie White said...

WTB probably just hasn't had time to respond to your email, I highly doubt the subject is the problem. I have put "Another boring email . . . no need to open" in the subject line, and he still answered, lol

Shane Deal said...

I've got the 31st marked down! See you then.

Heather and I will be attending with our Aunt and Uncle. Should be fun!

Rachel Kimberly said...

I'm planning to order the book on the 7th, but sadly, I probably won't be able to do the contest. :( The prizes look absolutely amazing.

Especially the sword... especially the sword... *sigh*

Wooton said...

lol. yeah, everyone wants the sword

Marie said...

A real one is a whole lot better than mine!

Rachel Kimberly said...

Yeah, I have a wooden one too, but it's just not the same thing...

Maybe I will do the contest...

Sorry... I deleted my comment :)

I have posted about your book on my blog. I haven't read it yet, so there wasn't a review... I was thinking about waiting until Oct. 7 to buy it, then I can read it... I would borrow it from someone, but I don't know anyone who has it :)
anyway, if the post counts without a review, here is the link:

ivorydancer, aren't you supposed to post that sort of thig on your tribe's facebook page or blog? correct me if im wrong.

WayneThomasBatson said...

Hi, All! Glad to hear some of you can make the events!

And Ivory Dance, just send that information to your Tribe's Leader. All links, receipts, etc. go to the Tribe Leader who will put it all together in a Tribe Report. I'll get the first Tribe Report from all leaders on Oct. 7th.

Thanks for getting involved!

Wayne Thomas Batson,
I'm considering coming to one of your signings, but I have a few questions before I can make up my mind, 'cause I would have to make a few sacrifices to get there.
First, how many points would I earn for my tribe if I had to drive six hours to get there?
Second, how big is the typical turnout for your (and Christopher Hopper's) signings? I don't want to be stuck in a mob of rambunctious little boys.
Third, you mentioned something about having a 'special creepy signing' on the 31st (that's the closest party) what do you mean by that? I personally don't like halloween and if that party is halloween themed or anything like that, there is no way I'm coming.
Please note that if you don't respond my comment soon, I shall be forced to email you. :P

Marie said...

seriously,i think it would be seriously crazy to drive six hours for a book signing. Yu'd have to stay overnight somewhere, and just 4 1 event?

Tammy Wiens said...

I am wondering if the Amazon Blitz on October 7 is only on Amazon.com or do books ordered on Amazon.ca get a signed bookplate as well?

WayneThomasBatson said...

Hi, Barie
If you're talking the MD event, the Friday event will be packed. You'd seriously thing we're JK Rowlings and Tom Clancy. But it's a blast anyway.

If you're talking the Sat. MD event, then there will be plenty of folks but not nearly on the B&N scale.

If you mean the NY events, Christopher would be better able to answer. I'm not sure what to expect. I'd guess there will be a few hundred people spaced over time. Not sure. Of course, driving six hours would load up your team with some serious Vanadils! ;-)

And Tammy, purchasing from Amazon.ca wouldn't help the Amazon sales #, but we'd be happy to send you stickers anyway. Thanks so much for being a reader in the great white north!

Hey Madeline? I'm about to send WTB the list of our people, since we're official now! So if you could please do what we discussed (I believe you were going to give WTB your email, correct?) and I'll just give him your first name, which is all I know anyway. Thanks!

Storm Marie White said...

Hehe. Six hours is a bit far.
I would be coming to the one on the 31st of October. That is in Pittsford I b'lieve.
I have some friends up in watertown, so I might visit them too if I go.
I would go to the watertown one, but that day is actually my birthday and I already have plans.

Wooton said...

I wish I could go... but we're going to be gone for the MD ones

Madeline said...

Seth, sorry I haven't been able to get on lately. But I'm officially in now! My brother (username NatetheGreat) and my sister (username bunnylover03) want to join, too. Cool with you? I'll send Wayne our addresses and names, okay?

Unknown said...

Yes! That is perfect! That means we're official then I believe, I'll just tally up the names. Welcome to Swiftstorm Madeline, Natethegreat, and bunnylover03! We can keep in contact through the blogspot.

Wooton said...

Congrats Seth!

Madeline said...

Okeydokey!!

Do you think you could make a post on the blog for us to put our points? As in, with comments?

Madeline said...

Seth, I can't seem to find the Underground. (Figures, huh?) Anyway, can I have the link to the Swiftstorm thread? (On the blog, if you think that'd be better.)

Unknown said...

Sure, I'm about to put a letter to Swiftstorm up there, as in the official, let's start letter lol, and I'll address that there.

Madeline said...

Okeydaisy.

Did you find it?

Madeline said...

Anonymous said...

Mr. Batson can you please take me off the underground my user name is fencer
Thanks

WayneThomasBatson said...

Hi, Anon

I'll certainly take you off the underground. But if you wouldn't mind, email me and let me know why you want off. CH and I really want to make sure that EVERYTHING that goes on there is done with Christ's love.

Unknown said...

No one offended you did they? We usually laugh and joke with each other, but it's all in fun, if it offended you in any way (although I do not think that I ever talked to you) I apologize.

Thomas Bracker said...

I would kill to live up there so I could go to all the book openings. Mr. Batson, You should come down to the South for a book-signing party! My team will have to win, and i'll get my Tribe Leader to let me pick the location!

Unknown said...

Your tribe leader's watching, lol jk. Yeah, come down to Florida!

Anonymous said...

Hi! I'm a long-time fan of the Door Within series! Your contest looks really cool...wish I wasn't too busy and that it didn't seem so complicated, though. This is a really cool blog, by the way!

Anonymous said...

Oh, and how does the free bookplate thing work exactly? I was going to order it eventually, but I guess I should get it on Wednesday!

Emma Cox said...

I have posted on my blog about your book Isle of Swords. I really enjoyed reading it and I'm looking forward to reading the Isle of Fire

Mr Batson,

I created an account on Amazon so I can do reviews, and things of that sort. However, it requires that I make a purchase before I do a Listmania list, so I will be using my moms account, just wanted to let you know ;)
