At the Sign of the Banshee...
Arrived in Scranton, PA yesterday afternoon. Author Christopher Hopper and I found the most amazing Irish pub just a few blocks from our hotel. Walking inside, we were suddenly overcome with a sense of history…and a desire to tell stories over a pint. Dark wood, black wrought iron, and stonework--not to mention paintings and photos of Irish landscapes. And the coolest feature was that they have these small anterooms (large enough to seat maybe 7-8 folks, more if some of them are hobbits) with coffee tables and antique leather easy chairs. Wow - it's like walking in the footsteps of greatness. Actually, it's more like walking beside the footsteps of greatness making your very own. I've said a little prayer for both you and Mr. Hopper that creativity and joy become the product of this exciting weekend. I have confidence that your future endeavors will be as wonderful, if not more, than the previous three (almost four).
Amy,
Very much appreciate the prayers! Christopher and I have had a spectacular time of creativity, fellowship, and refueling. And the Irish bands at the pub have been incredible. Who knew that Scranton and Dublin were so close together?
