Raudrim-Quevara, The Red Queen_Amazing Art…and What is your Christmas wish?

Hi, all! Long time, no blog. Sorry about that. Been busy writing, and honestly haven't had much to say blog-wise. But ElizabethH sent this fantastic bit of art in, so I had to post. This is a remarkable interpretation of The Errant King's villain: Raudrim-Quevara, The Red Queen, who shapeshifts into a very formidable dragon. Seriously, you'll be hard-pressed to find a more accurate drawing. Thanks, Elizabeth!

Enjoy all!

Blog Item #2:

Your Christmas Wish
I love the holiday season. I love the music, the trappings, the chill in the air, the red cheeks, and being buried under blankets! I love that Jesus gave us a gift that no one can steal or mar or hinder.

So this Christmas season, I'd like to give ALL my readers a gift. But I need your help.

I'm going to write a Christmas Gift Story. It'll be relatively short. 5-10K words, max. For ten days around Christmas, I'm going to make this story free on Kindle and free as a .pdf download. But I want to know what you want me to write for the gift. Please respond to the poll below. I'll announce the winning Christmas Present Story right after Thanksgiving.

AND THE WINNER IS:

A new Door Within spinoff with Mallik and Nock

  5. I agree with Storyteller! It's such a hard decision.

What I'd really love, though, would be an update on Dark Sea Annals #3. Pretty please?

Totally excited for whatever story you decide to share with us!

Are there any restraints on how often you can vote? Like, is it only once a day or is it just unlimited?

I'm so excited! I hope you end up writing the Door Within spinoff!

I don't know if this would be possible, but I would absolutely love it if you and Mr. Hopper were able to write a short story about Berinfell too! :)

  9. REALLY hard choice, Mr. Batson!
I agree with Sarah -- an update on Dark Sea Annals #3 would be fantastic. I'm still eagerly awaiting the next installment! :)

  10. You can vote as much as you want, but only once a day. So vote away!

  11. SQUEEEEEEEEE! Nock and Mallik! Nock and Mallik! I wouldn't mind if you wrote an entire BOOK about them. But I wouldn't mind hearing about Cat and company either. =D

OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS! However shall I choose? I mean, some of these I'd really like, and some of these I'd love! I guess I'll just have to decide.

Um...I can only vote once, I tried to come back the next day but it wouldn't work!
By the way, Dark Sea Annals would be awesome ;)

Any chance you could do a Berinfell prophesies short story? That's what I really want for Christmas!

  17. Either Door Within or Isle of Swords! Those would be my top two! Then skeleton project, then Alastair, then maybe something Berinfell between the gap of Book 2 & 3

Sorry about two of those comments sounding so alike, I'm new to this commenting thing, so I didn't know what I was doing :)
But the problem is whenever I try to vote again the next day it says, 'sorry you have already voted in this poll' ...?

Happy writing, and I hope you end up writing the one you enjoy the most. I loved the door within and the isle series, and eagerly await the 3rd installment in the dark sea annals.

  20. Best Christmas present offer I've ever had. Looking forward to this! T_T Making me choose between Ghost and The Door Within... wrong. What we have to think about, though, is the fact that we know we'll have more Ghost eventually. We do not, however, have any promises of more Door Within. Looking forward to it in any effect and thank you Sir Batson for this fantastic offer!

We all need to second this so Sir Batson will do this again! CUZ ITS AMAZING! Even if the one I voted for doesn't win, another cool one will. Its a win/win. :) Happy Thanksgiving.
