ReplyDeleteIt means (before I changed settings) that you had to activate your account with the link in the e-mail you recieved. I changed a setting and now all who were Awaiting Citizenship are full members.

ReplyDeletepiratekatie: The theatrical swords class teaches how to do sword stunts and build fights like what you would see in LOTR or POTC. Sometimes we create big battles, all controlled of course. But it also teaches combat, which is how you would really fight with the sword, not just act with it. Combat battles are more fun because you are really in it for true swordfighting action and to win, rather than fake a fight to make it look real. I often feel like Antionette out there, because we use shinais! If you make it to the advanced class, you are taught with broadswords and live steel. I hope to get that good.

Flinn: Oh wow that's really awesome!! Sounds like a lot of fun and seems like a really interesting thing to learn! Thanks for explaining it ;) I had no idea you could learn those kinds of things, I thought only the people in moveies like LOTR, POTC & Narnia learned them lol. Is it hard?

ReplyDeletepiratekatie: It's not really hard. It's like Orlando Bloom said in an interview about the swords part of his role in POTC, it's muscle memory. Once your muscles have memorized the moves, you're good to go. I have beaten boys a foot and a half taller than me. It's fun! No offense to you guys.

ReplyDeleteHey, Flin flan, I had oral surgery too! I had it a week ago! Glad it went well! And that sword training thing sounds really cool. I thought the only way to do that was to be in a movie or learn fencing, which isn't really the same. I entered and now i'm just waiting for my entry to get accepted or whatever. Let's share our usernames if they're different so we know who each other are on the forum! I can't wait! :D

My vote would be for Realmers, it has a nice strong sound to it, and it comes off the tongue easier than Glimpsers.
